Can you tell us a bit about your background?

I arrived in France when I was 20, after having finished my studies in Mexico, my native country. With the desire to discover the French culture, my first stop in France was La Rochelle, where I learnt French. I fell in love with France because of its gastronomy, its history and its architecture. I built my professional life in the hospitality industry in an international context. Indeed, I have worked, mostly in luxury hotels, in Ireland, Spain, Mexico and France.

What attracted you to the Maison Mère project?

I was looking for an ambitious and extraordinary concept. I wanted to be part of big changes and participate in the creation of the Hospitality industry of the future.

Participating in an opening for an authentic hotel represents a big challenge. We are creating a framework, not only for tourists, but also for the people of the neighborhood. At Maison Mère, we offer more than a bed to sleep, we will create a place to welcome our guests as at home, create more convivial spaces where we can meet all kinds of travelers and interact with local partners and customers.

Can you tell us about a personality who inspires you every day?

Frida Kahlo, is a Mexican artist who demonstrates the fragility and the strength of her personality through her art. I always liked her rebellious side of not following the models and the rules imposed by our culture. Despite her rich and complex personality, she remains unique and faithful to her believes. She is an icon of the Mexican popular culture.

Can you share your favourites with us; your artistic or artisanal discovery of the moment?

This morning I discovered an American electronic musician and Youtuber Marc Rebillet. He records from any room of his apartment, or from a Hotel room. Do not miss “How to Funk in two minutes” and “feeling good” live stream.

Returning to Paris; do you have one or two recommendations to share with us?

The Parc des Buttes Chaumont in the 19th district and the Atelier des Lumières in the 11th district of Paris.

And finally, according to you what are the characteristics of Maison Mère's team?

Everyone brings his experience and his know-how. We are a welcoming, dynamic and creative team. The following quote from Steve Jobs reflects our philosophy: “It makes no sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people to tell us what to do”.
