Music in Paris 9e

Gainsbourg lived with his family at number 11 bis of the rue Chaptal, not far from the famous rue des Martyrs. This family flat was occupied from 1932 to 1972 and it was here that Serge Gainsbourg grew up, going to the nursery school which was just on the opposite pavement. Today you will find the charming Musée de la Vie Romantique for a peaceful visit away from the Parisian buzz.
