Paris Fashion Week: which hotel should you choose to experience fashion week?

From 28 September to 6 October 2026, Paris Fashion Week® will present the Womenswear Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2027 collections. For nine days, fashion extends far beyond the runway, spilling into museums, department stores, restaurants and the streets of Paris.

In the middle of all this energy, choosing a hotel is about more than finding somewhere to sleep. You need a base: somewhere central enough to make moving around the city simple, comfortable enough for a pause between appointments and welcoming enough to feel like home when Paris is moving at full speed.

In the heart of the 9th arrondissement, Maison Mère offers exactly that balance.

A hotel for Paris Fashion Week in the heart of the 9th arrondissement

Maison Mère sits on rue Mayran, in a neighbourhood closely connected to Parisian creative life. Rue des Martyrs and the Folies Bergère are nearby, while the Opéra Garnier, Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are within easy reach. Cadet metro station is just a short walk from the hotel, making it easy to move around Paris when the diary starts filling up.

A morning can begin around the department stores and the Opéra district. A few hours later, the metro takes you towards presentations, showrooms and events elsewhere in the city. In the evening, you return to a neighbourhood that still feels lived-in, with cafés, restaurants and streets made for walking.

Paris Fashion Week does not take place in one single venue. Its official programme unfolds across the capital. One of its professional highlights, SPHERE – Paris Fashion Week® showroom, will take place at the Palais de Tokyo from 30 September to 6 October, showcasing a selection of emerging designers supported by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.

That is why a well-connected hotel makes such a difference: Paris itself becomes the setting for the week.

Maison Mère's 51 rooms are designed as individual Parisian pieds-à-terre rather than anonymous hotel rooms. Premium bedding, soundproofing, blackout, Wi-Fi and rooms suited to both leisure and business stays make it easier to move between the different sides of Fashion Week life.

What to do in Paris during Fashion Week?

From 26 September 2026, the Palais Galliera, Paris's fashion museum, will present A Wardrobe of One's Own: Dissident Femininities in the 19th Century. The exhibition examines how nineteenth-century women appropriated the masculine dress codes of their time, offering a fascinating historical counterpoint to the contemporary fashion being presented across Paris.

At the same time, Weaving, Embroidering, Embellishing: The Crafts and Trades of Fashion will remain on display until 18 October. Through embroidery, lace, artificial flowers and other specialist techniques, the exhibition looks at the extraordinary craftsmanship behind fashion from the eighteenth century to today.

Together, the exhibitions offer another way to experience Fashion Week: not simply through finished looks, but through creativity, history and the hands that make fashion possible.

Maison Mère: slowing down between Fashion Week appointments

Fashion Week days can begin early and end very late.

Maison Mère was designed as a hybrid Parisian home: a four-star hotel, restaurant, bar, coworking café and artistic hub all under one roof. It is somewhere to sleep, of course, but also somewhere to work for an hour, meet over coffee or simply switch off for a while.

Between appointments, the coworking area offers an easy place to open a laptop without retreating to your room. Later, closing the bedroom door becomes part of the pleasure: premium bedding, soundproofing and blackout create a proper retreat from an especially busy Paris.

And then there is dinner.

At Nectar, Maison Mère's restaurant, Chef Keiichi Shinohara brings together creative French cuisine and subtle Japanese influences. It is a chance to extend the evening over dinner without crossing the city once again.

Perhaps that is where Maison Mère makes most sense during Fashion Week. It does not try to compete with the city's pace; it gives you somewhere to step away from it.

Coffee before leaving. An impromptu meeting in the lounge. A few emails between presentations. A room where the phone can finally be put down. Dinner downstairs. Then Paris again the following morning.
